BALTIMORE
- The Maryland Association of Mortgage Professionals
(MAMP) recognized several professionals as
part of their annual awards program that took
place during ceremonies on April 7 in Baltimore.
In
recognition of his excellent
leadership in the association Ken
Venick of Equity Mortgage Lending
in Owings Mills received the
2010 Broker of the Year Award.
Ken has been a strong force for MAMP in Annapolis,
serving on both the state task force and the
strategic planning and financial literacy
task force.
Receiving the President's
Award was
Hunter Bloch of Annapolis First
Mortgage, LLC in Hanover. Bloch, who has been
a member of MAMP since 1998, was recognized
for his continued support of the association
through his participation in association events
and having served on the board of directors.
MAMP's
Legislative Director Megan
Mason received the 2010 Legislative
Award. Mason was recognized for
being the strong presence in Annapolis this
year, serving as the governing voice on legislative
matters for MAMP.
MAMP
Past President Eric Gates also took time to
recognize a few affiliate members who have
continued to show their dedication to the
association through their participation in
events, their efforts to help increase membership
and by volunteering their time. Those professionals
recognized include incoming President Mike
Parsons, CMPS
of
Nationwide Home Mortgage in Rockville,
Brooks
Bosley, CRMS of
Home Savings of America in Centreville,
Christine Wagner of
SunTrust
Mortgage, Charles
Reid, III of
Florida Capital Bank Mortgage in Brooklandville
and Eric
Gates, CRMS, CMPS of Apex Home
Loans, Inc. in Bethesda.
The award ceremonies took place on the first
day of the 2010 MAMP Convention & Exposition.
Taking place April 8, the conference attracted
mortgage professionals and affiliates from
