- In recognition of his
excellent leadership and response as the association's
lobbyist the Maryland
Association of Mortgage Brokers (MAMP) has
announced Clay Opara as its
2009 Legislative Award recipient.
MAMP
also honored several individuals. Receiving
the President's Award
was Tim Gough
of First Republic Mortgage Corporation in
Annapolis for his assistance, whenever asked,
in legislative matters including opening his
home for a PAC fund-raiser.
Bevon
Stennett
of Mortgage America Bankers, LLC in Silver
Spring was recognized as MAMP's
Broker of the Year for her years
of service to the association and for supporting
all of the association's activities.
In
addition to honoring Parsons, Brooks
Bosley of Home Savings of America
in Centreville was presented with the Affiliate
of the Year Award for his years
of dedicated service and support.
The award ceremonies took place on the first
day of the 2009 MAMP Conference & Exposition.
Taking place March 5-6, the conference attracted
mortgage professionals and affiliates from
